Questions & Answers

As a result of our past experiences as well as the feedback we have received from guests who have previously been at The Manse Retreat, we have come to the conclusion that it would be beneficial to include a questions and answers section on our website.

Will there be other people at The Manse Retreat?
The emotional healing retreat is for you (and your partner) so there will be no other attendees
during your weekend.

Do I need to discuss my reasons for coming to the retreat openly?
T
herapy sessions are confidential and conducted on a one-to-one basis. You will be required
to complete a questionnaire prior to arriving which will be shared with Carl only.

I have food intolerances. Will this be a problem?
Not a problem at all, Kim is a fully qualified naturopathic nutritionist and considers this when preparing the meals for the weekend, we would ask that you provide 14
days notice of any food intolerances.

What clothing do I need to bring for my retreat?
Comfortable clothing, leggings, tracksuits and jeans are best to ensure you feel relaxed. We
live in a village which may get muddy so walking shoes, wellington boots or trainers might be
a good idea, depending on the weather.

Will I have free time during the retreat?
The Emotional Healing retreat has limited free time on each day. The other retreat has
plenty of free time to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Is there parking at the retreat?
There is free parking in the village square which is less than a 1 minute walk away from The
Manse Retreat.

Is there public transport available to get to the retreat?
The bus to the village is few and far between. However, we do offer a free collection and drop
off service to either Kettering or Corby train stations.

Do I need to bring anything with me to the retreat?
All meals are provided, there are tea/coffee making facilities in each bedroom. We ask our
guests to bring their toiletries as we all have different requirements. Towels, bathrobe and
slippers are provided in the rooms.

Is there wifi available?
There is wifi available throughout the property. Please note that the telephone reception is
intermittent due to being in a village location. However, we do encourage our guests to take a
break from their phones, to gain the full potential of their time here.

Is there a shop nearby?
There is a co-op in the village which is a 2 minute walk from The Manse Retreat should you
require anything urgently. There are the usual high street stores and supermarkets within 10
minutes drive.

Is there a TV in the bedroom?
We do not have TVs in the bedrooms as we like our guests to fully relax, there is a TV in the
sitting room.

Is there somewhere I can charge my phone/laptop?
There are plenty of sockets in the bedrooms as well as USB sockets. We have spare leads if
required.
