Eye Movement Techniques

These powerful techniques are highly effective in resolving unprocessed memories stored in the limbic system. It is believed that rapid eye movements mimic the natural process of REM (Rapid Eye Movement) that occurs during sleep.

Eye movement techniques can be used to address emotional trauma, phobias, and a wide range of behaviours that clients wish to change. There are several different techniques utilized by practitioners, including EMDR, ART, IEMT, EMI, and VCDT.

As a practitioner, I specialise in IEMT, IMEMI, and VCDT which has recently been renamed VSDT. This technique was developed by Nik and Eva Speakman, renowned TV therapists who have been featured on the popular program This Morning. VSDT has been extensively researched by a group of professors at the University of Amsterdam, who found it to be superior to EMDR.

The Psycho-sensory technique

A revolutionary approach to disrupting unpleasant memories and experiences. By utilising a process called synaptic depotentiation, this modality can effectively de-link the fight, flight, freeze, and rage responses triggered by traumatic events from the stored memory.

The technique works by stimulating skin receptors in specific areas of the body, such as the face, shoulders, upper arms, and palms of the hands. This stimulation increases neurochemicals in the brain, including serotonin and GABA, resulting in an increase in slow, low frequency brain waves known as Delta waves.

These Delta waves can help depotentiate activated AMPA receptors in post-synaptic neurons in the amygdala through dephosphorylation of those receptors due to the action of the enzyme calcineurin. In simpler terms, the apparatus for triggering unhelpful responses is disconnected from the stored memory of the traumatic event.

This means that although the memory can still be recalled, the person no longer experiences the unhelpful responses associated with it. Even encountering previous triggers will no longer elicit the same negative reactions. After the process is complete, the subjective emotions related to the memory become objective, and the person reports feeling calmer.

In conclusion, the Psycho-sensory technique is a powerful tool for disrupting unpleasant memories and experiences. By delinking the fight, flight, freeze, and rage responses from the stored memory, individuals can experience a sense of calm and freedom from the negative emotions associated with traumatic events.

Tapping Techniques

As one of the first practitioners in the UK to practice Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), I have been at the forefront of a revolutionary approach to emotional healing. With over 300,000 views on my YouTube video demonstrating EFT, I have helped countless individuals overcome emotional trauma and achieve a greater sense of well-being.

But my journey didn't stop there. I progressed to FasterEFT and became good friends with the creator, Robert Smith. Together, we trained over 120 practitioners from all over the world, spreading the benefits of this powerful technique far and wide.

Building on my knowledge and skill base, I then trained with Karl Dawson, the creator of Matrix Reimprinting. As an advanced practitioner and trainer with the Association for Meridian and Energy Therapies (AMT), I have continued to develop new techniques that are changing the way we approach emotional healing.

One such technique is VRT, a combination of eye movement and tapping that has been shown to be highly effective in treating a wide range of emotional issues. By focusing on the memory or experience that is causing distress and tapping certain areas of the body, VRT disrupts the chemical and electrical components of encoded memories, leading to profound and lasting healing.

These techniques are easy to learn and have been used in conflict zones around the world with remarkable success.
